GREENSBORO, NC - C&F Financial Vice President David Jolley has been named an honorary member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society, at his alma mater, The University of North Carolina at Greensboro Bryan School of Business and Economics.

Jolley, a 1976 graduate of the Bryan School, was one of the first graduates of the school’s master’s program in economics. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from N.C. State University in 1970. Jolley has a long history of involvement with UNCG, including a term on the UNCG Board of Visitors and regular participation with the Bryan School Alumni Association’s annual golf tournament, which raises funds to support scholarships for student leaders.

Jolley regularly used his economics education during his 30-year career with Wachovia Bank, where he worked in treasury services, as a capital markets strategist, and a corporate finance strategist before retiring in 2003 as senior vice president. His retirement didn’t last long. Jolley later accepted a position as managing director of Ewing Loan Advisors and in high-level leadership positions with First Market Bank and his current employer, C&F Financial.

Jolley is an active leader in numerous community and business activities in Williamsburg, Va., including the United Way, the Rotary Club of Williamsburg, the Richmond Association for Business Economics, and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. He also is an executive partner in the College of William & Mary’s Mason School of Business.

Industries of the Blind chosen as Bryan MBA’s first Cole Capstone project

Industries of the Blind of Greensboro has been chosen as this year’s recipient of the Sue and Gordon Cole Capstone Project.  The Cole Capstone project is part of UNCG’s Bryan School of Business and Economics MBA program, which provides consulting services annually to an area organization that has the ability to have a positive impact on quality of life in the Triad area.
