Scholarship Information

UNCG’s Joseph M. Bryan School of Business and Economics offers a number of competitive, merit based scholarships to outstanding students who wish to pursue one of the majors the school offers.

Blue & Gold Scholarships

The Bryan School offers scholarships to entering freshmen through the Blue & Gold Scholarships. Two of these scholarships are described below.

  • Kathleen P. and Joseph M. Bryan Scholarships.  The School awards Bryan Scholarships each year that provide the recipients with $5,000 to $6,000 per year for four years. These scholarships also include a stipend of up to $2,500 to support the student’s study abroad.
  • Bank of America Scholarships.  The School awards Bank of America Scholarships each year that provide the recipients with $5,000 to $6,000 per year for four years.  These scholarships also include a stipend of up to $2,500 to support the student’s study abroad.

There is no secondary application process, but to be considered, students must complete the application process for admission to the university no later than December. 1. Students must submit one of the three essay choices on the application to be considered for a Blue & Gold Scholarship. Competitive students have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and test scores of at least 1200 for the SAT (critical reading and math) or 27 for the ACT.

Other Bryan School Scholarships

In addition to the UNCG Scholars Program discussed above, the Bryan School offers a limited number of merit and need-based scholarships each year.  Students (new and continuing) who have high-quality academic records, meet specific award requirements, and/or have financial need may apply for Bryan School scholarship support. These awards may or may not be renewable.

You may apply for these scholarships by completing the Bryan School of Business and Economics Scholarship Application.

The application preferred date is March 1, but applications will be considered if received late if funds are still available.
