Scholarship Information

UNCG’s Joseph M. Bryan School of Business and Economics offers a number of competitive, merit based scholarships to outstanding students who wish to pursue one of the majors the school offers.

UNCG Scholars Program

The Bryan School offers scholarships to entering freshmen through the UNCG Scholars Program (formerly known as Merit Awards). Two of these scholarships are described below.

  • Kathleen P. and Joseph M. Bryan Scholarships.  The School awards Bryan Scholarships each year that provide the recipients with $5,000 to $6,000 per year for four years. These scholarships also include a stipend of up to $2,500 to support the student’s study abroad.
  • Bank of America Scholarships.  The School awards Bank of America Scholarships each year that provide the recipients with $5,000 to $6,000 per year for four years.  These scholarships also include a stipend of up to $2,500 to support the student’s study abroad.
  • Students who apply through the Merit Awards Program are also automatically considered for all other Merit Awards scholarships offered by the University.

Admitted students who are eligible for these scholarships will be invited to apply through SpartanLink. To be eligible for the UNCG Scholars Program, students must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or higher and test scores of at least 1200 for the SAT (critical reading and math) or at least 27 for the ACT.

The application deadline is January 2, 2012. Finalists are required to participate in on-campus interviews, which are held at the end of February.

Other Bryan School Scholarships

In addition to the UNCG Scholars Program discussed above, the Bryan School offers a limited number of merit and need-based scholarships each year.  Students (new and continuing) who have high-quality academic records, meet specific award requirements, and/or have financial need may apply for Bryan School scholarship support. These awards may or may not be renewable.

You may apply for these scholarships by completing the Bryan School of Business and Economics Scholarship Application and hand delivering it to the Dean’s Office, 401 Bryan Building;  mailing it to the Dean’s Office, Bryan School, P.O. Box 26170, UNCG, Greensboro, NC 27402-6165; or emailing it to Bryan_Scholarships@uncg.edu.
