Welcome to Department of Economics at the Bryan School!

The UNCG Department of Economics combines commitments to high quality research and teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Graduates of our MA Program in Applied Economics are in high demand particularly due to their data analysis skills.

Our small, focused PhD program with fields in labor, public and health economics began in 2004.

According to Research Papers in Economics, the publications of our faculty ranked our department 78th among US economics departments in overall research productivity, 21st in health economics, 41st in energy economics, and 57th in labor economics (documentation_for_rankings).

Please feel free to contact us with any questions about our department or programs.
